Charles Henry Churchill
Colonel Charles Henry Spencer-Churchill (27. Mai 1828; ? 3. April 1877) war ein britischer Offizier und Diplomat und britischer Konsul in Syrien.Er war der Enkel des 5._Herzogs_von_Marlborough. Seine Eltern waren Lord Charles Spencer-Churchill und Ethelred Catherine Benett.
Churchill forderte schon in den 1840er Jahren einen jüdischen Staat Israel in Palästina. Er verfasste mehrere bedeutende (kultur-)historische Werke über den nahen_Osten, darunter eine umfangreiche Biografie Abd el-Kaders, den er während dessen Exil in Damaskus kennengelernt hatte.
Er heiratete Rosalie Lowther am 30. Oktober 1862.
