?Biograph? erschien 1985 auf Columbia Records. Es war eines der ersten CD-Box-Sets. In den USA erreichte es Platz 33 der Charts und erhielt Platin-Status.
Eines der Lieder, die auf Biograph erstmals veröffentlicht wurden, ist ?Lay Down Your Weary Tune?, das Lied, mit dem der Martin-Scorsese-Film No Direction Home endet. Ein weiteres, ?Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window??, ist einer der 31 Songs, denen der britische Schriftsteller Nick Hornby 2003 sein gleichnamiges Buch widmete.
